One of the worst problems a legitimate email marketer can face is the DNS blacklist (or DNSBL). DNS which stands for Domain Name System, is a tool that converts domain names to the IP address from which companies send out mail. Widespread spammers are now being compiled by hundreds of different organizations and mail servers then pick which from these lists to use to establish their mail controls.

If your domain have been included on a DNS blacklist, mail servers that uses that blacklist will deny emails from your domain name or IP address making it impossible to send information via email. Most domains entitled with this status are from companies that are not CAN-SPAM compliant or who send unsolicited or graphic content, but many other companies have been unfairly tagged with it, as well.

Getting Your Domain Off a DNS Blacklist

EmailReach together with our Delivery Audit program will help your domain avoid ending up on a DNS blacklist. We will first test to find out if your domain have been blacklisted by any of the most common groups. The test includes Open Relay Database, Spam Prevention Early Warning System, Vipul’s Razor, Pyzor, SpamCop, and others used by more than 90 percent of mail administrators. We will help you petition to be whitelisted if ever in any way you were placed on a DNS blacklist.

Once we’ve established that your email reputation will be fine, we will then test your future mailings to make sure they are not identified as spam by content filters and ISPs. This will minimize the likelihood that you will end up on any DNSBLs in the future. Sign up for a free trial today to make your marketing more effective.
